Nikola Tesla

Nikola Tesla was born July 10, 1856 in a village in Smiljan, Kingdom of Austria (now in Croatia). If you read the history of the first world war, at that time in Europe there was a very hot political tension, including in the Kingdom of Austria.

Tesla's father was a pastor, while his mother was a housewife who had a talent for making household and mechanical appliances. Tesla admitted his ability to think declined from his mother. Tesla's father actually wanted Tesla to become a soldier or priest like himself. But Tesla was not interested in either profession. Tesla became interested in electricity at school when his professor demonstrated the use of electricity. At that time, Tesla thought that electricity was a mysterious and amazing phenomenon, then it made him curious.

Nikola Tesla is one of the most important people in the transition to the electrical age or the shift in the use of energy using electrical energy. Before there was electricity, the energy generation system to power a city used transmission of water, gas, or similar energy sources which were not very efficient. Well, one of them is thanks to Tesla's great contribution that we can utilize electricity en masse and, of course, efficiently.

Tesla dedicated his life to making useful tools for humanity. Starting from the electrical technology, remote control, x-ray, to radio, either directly or indirectly, cannot be separated from Tesla's contribution. These contributions made him one of the most important inventors and one of the greatest engineers in history. But unfortunately, Tesla seemed to be forgotten after his death. His name sinks among the many other scientists or inventors.
